Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) & Covid-19 Scenarios Training

What does the course offer?
Created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this training course will help improve your team's confidence and competence when using Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to function safely in their role.
Throughout the course we will cover everything from safe donning, doffing and disposal of PPE, to practical scenarios tailored to your business and working environment.
This course is intended for staff who are up to date with their annual Basic Life Support and Defibrillation training.
We can also combine this course with Basic Life Support and Defibrillation training to certificate for your annual training requirements in one full-day session.
What will you learn?
- When to use different levels of PPE
- Rehearse the use of PPE
- Rehearse a team approach to managing the deteriorating patient
- Rehearse the use of PPE in a resuscitation attempt
Course Contents
This course fosters an approach of both skills teaching and facilitated learning, with reflective practice.
Some of the approaches that will be used are:
- Videos
- Skills practice
- Simulation scenarios
Number of Candidates & Venue Requirements
We can accommodate up to 6 candidates per trainer.
The training venue must be large enough to maintain social distancing between candidates.
You will be responsible for providing the PPE used in the training course. Sufficient gowns, aprons, gloves, masks (FRSM & FFP3), eye protection and clinical wipes must be provided for all attendees.
Handwashing facilities, alcohol hand gel and surface wipes must also be available.
