The Anaphylaxis for Schools and Colleges course is designed for the employees of any educational establishment who will be expected to recognise and respond to the occurence of an anaphylactic reaction as part of their role.  It is also suitable for carers and guardians of those suffering from anaphylaxis, there is no clinical background required to get the most out of the subject.

The course includes the following topics:

  • Understanding the causes of an anaphylactic reaction
  • Recognising the signs and symptoms for anaphylaxis
  • Treating an anaphylactic reaction (including the use of adrenaline auto injectors e.g. epipen)
  • Implementing robust systems for the successful planning and individual management of students with severe allergies

The course is fully compliant with current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines, and contributes one hour towards Continual Professional Development (CPD).  Once enrolled you have 60 days to complete the course, and you can quickly and easily exit and resume at a later date without losing your progress!
